Oluseyi is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Data-Driven Storytelling at the Department of Theatre, Film, Television and Interactive Media with Digital Creativity Labs and Weavr at the University of York.

About Oluseyi

Oluseyi’s research interests are in Cross-domain Recommender Systems, Predictive Modelling and Natural Language Processing.

After completing his PhD at the University of Brighton, UK, Oluseyi developed a contextual AI assistant – Mythesisbot – that answers academic questions on behalf of a researcher.

Using natural language understanding and intent recognition techniques the AI assistant engages in conversations with users interested in the researchers work.

The bot was created to help researchers share the content of their thesis to a broader audience than academia. Mythesisbot takes the 80,000-word dissertation that will be most likely locked away in an electronic database and puts a summarised version on platforms where policymakers can engage with it.

Oluseyi is currently exploring the application of computational linguistics for generating personalised stories from game data
