About Yubo

Yubo Kou received his PhD in human-computer interaction from the Department of Informatics at the University of California, Irvine. His main research areas are human-computer interaction and computer-supported cooperative work. He has been conducting ethnographic research in online game communities. He is super interested in understanding interrelated issues situated in the context of competitive gaming, such as emotion regulation in team sport, toxicity and governance, and social implications of complex gaming systems.
